ST Engineering

Background
Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) is a global, integrated, engineering group with capabilities spanning the aerospace, electronics, marine, and land systems sectors. ST Engineering continually enhances and upgrades its range and depth of product offerings through R&D and collaboration with global industry players and the academia.

Wiz Werx was tasked to build a website which targets at investors as well as a back-end CMS system to maintain and manage their big inventory of Products, Capabilities and Companies. ST Engineering and Wiz Werx have enjoyed a strong relationship over the past 5 years.

Solution
The ST Engineering site features an extensive Content Management System, allowing ST Engg staff to maintain information about all of the News, Products, Capabilities and Companies. There is also an integrated Stock Quotes and Charting software, which links directly to pull stock quotes directly from SGX.

Wiz Werx designed and rebranded the site to create a sense of lifestyle and sports, with unique header graphics designed in Flash; a photography session, art directed by Wiz Werx was in place to create the great imagery and visuals.

Another feature of the Wiz Werx site is the bi-lingual option which caters to their Chinese counterparts.

The Idea Factory

Background
In essence, TIF is an innovation design consultancy. It means they create unique processes to help clients reinvent their businesses. They also design systematic frameworks to allow clients to sustain innovation in their organization. Their previous website, although functional, does not effectively reflect the core of the company and its values.

Strategy
Wiz Werx had to ensure that the revamped website would effectively communicate TIF's services and values. Besides that, the revamped website should also be a platform to build a community of clients and readership base. Done correctly, our client would enjoy a stronger online presence for branding and business development purposes.

Solution
Wiz Werx decided to use TIF's office concept as the visual concept of the revamped website. TIF's office looks more like a studio than your typical office setting. Hence, the landing page of the website is an image of TIF's studio environment. To enter the site, users are prompted to click on the studio image.

Upon navigation, users will find that the site utilizes line drawings and sketches to illustrate the simplicity and beauty in work-in-progress. One of the features of TIF's studio is a wall full of scribbles and Post It notes, contributed by anyone in the office. These eventually become innovative ideas for TIF's clients. Thus, Wiz Werx included a sketch of this wall as one of 4 main navigation scenes of the website. Post It notes are animated to enhance users' visual experience in this full Flash website.

Wiz Werx also created special sections of the website, called "Magazine", "Virtual Concept Lab" and "What's Happening!" These three sections allow our client to update content or articles independently and as frequent as they like, a strategic idea to attract repeated visits by users, hence building a readership base.

100Plus

Background
Wiz Werx partnered with advertising agency Euro RSCG to produce a competition based campaign Website for 100Plus.

Solution
The campaign encourages people to enter the competition via the Website using random alpha-numeric numbers printed under the PET bottle caps and within the 6/12s multi-packs' secondary packaging.

The objectives were to motivate purchase and consumption frequency of 100PLUS during the promotion. And to strengthen and manifest the 100PLUS 'Outdo Yourself' personality via through-the-line communication and imagery association.

Each entry goes into a grand prize draw to win an Adventure Holiday and also allows the user to win prizes ranging from NIKE products to 100Plus Premiums. Everyone is a winner.

For game enthusiasts, one could go on to try the Bike Max Challenge, a game which aimed to position 100PLUS as a believer in conquering ones limitations (physical and mental) through replenishment and re-hydration. Prizes were given to top scorers.

Wiz Werx adapted a fresh, youthful design, which seamlessly integrates with the above the line campaign. The back-end system also provides detailed user reporting and website traffic information.

AkzoNobel Paints Singapore

Background
With a proven track record of excellence and over 70 years of experience in Singapore, AkzoNobel Paints, formally known as ICI Paints, is part of the world's biggest coatings manufacturer and number one in decorative paints and performance coatings.

Wiz Werx Pte Ltd succeeded in working with AkzoNobel Paints as partners in an objective to preserving its corporate image and re-establishing its online presence.

Growing demand from consumers for more accessible information led AkzoNobel Paints to rethink its position in the online community. Utilising the online media allowed for a greater reach and opportunity to establish greater brand awareness.

Strategy
The revamp of the website was a strategic move aimed at providing customers with personal attention and support though the confusing task of colour selection. With a vast range of over 300 products, Wiz Werx was faced with the challenge of not over-baring users with information.

With consumers being very brand conscious, Wiz Werx paid extra attention to the branding issues when developing the website.

Traditionally hands on methods of colour picking could be a thing of the past with the implementation of AkzoNobel Paints' Mouse Painter. Users are able to virtually paint all sorts of surfaces from the walls to the furniture rather than having to image in reality. This tool also gives users the freedom to experiment with different colour combinations and attain realistic previews.

Solution
Segmenting content based on user interaction and limiting the points of entries of the product catalogue. The new site is extremely user-friendly, and features include;

Olympus

Background
Olympus Imaging Singapore was an information-driven and non-interactive corporate website. The site is aimed for professionals and amateur photographers seeking information about products, events and tips. Wiz Werx had the opportunity to introduce new and improvise on existing functionalities to the website.

Strategy
Olympus Imaging Singapore launched in August 2008, one of the most famous and well-established brands in consumer and professional photography. The new site features interactive product information, events and workshops and photo submissions from its impressive pool of contributors from the professional field and from young enthusiasts who would like to feature their work.

The target audience for the site is discerning consumers who want to know about the products available and users who want to further enhance their product knowledge and to improve on photography skills (Nature, Travel and Night) in general.

Solution
The new site is a repository of notices, event and workshops, with new fresh content being added on a regular basis, which is being managed by an integrate Content Management System. The site reflects the design of the magazine, with inspirational photography from some of the world's best travel photographers.

With the introduction of an ENets Debit Payment Mechanism, the target audience would be able to choose from either performing payment transactions offline or online via Internet Banking. The aim of having ENets online would be to streamline Olympus Imaging Singapore's operations for Customer Service.

Singapore Petroleum Company

Background
Singapore Petroleum Company Limited (SPC) engaged the services of Wiz Werx Pte Ltd to re-establish its online presence.

The brief was to create a fresh look and personality for the existing SPC Website, and to gear it towards an Investor Relations focus.

The objectives were to provide a platform to communicate to their investors, partners, in addition to rebranding and communicating its core business as the only local refinery.

Strategy
Not only was it important to create a fresh, new design but also to ensure the site ranked brilliantly at the major search engines for targeted key phrases.

The site has been re-built from the ground up, utilising SEO friendly directory configuration, CMS and internal optimised linking strategies. All of this works in sync with the new design and site structure.

Solution
The challenge of the brief was to cater for dynamic information, by which Wiz Werx took on by incorporating exciting new features as such:

Google Maps technology was used for the Station Locator feature, by which the end-user is able to navigate via updated Maps or Satellite from Google to discover the exact location of the SPC service stations.

Stock Quotes as drawn from the SGX Index Website are placed and represented as Share Price Graphs by which the fluctuations in the SPC Stock are shown, indicating the start and end of trading for each day.

In addition, Google Analytics implementation was proposed by Wiz Werx for tracking the SPC website. Via Google Analytics, SPC is now able to track the overall web traffic and to gain a better understanding of user behaviour on the website, which would be a good measure against their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The revamped SPC website was launched in January, and the average monthly statistics since then has reflected at least 13,000 visits per month. The number of pages viewed/accessed is at least 50,000 and the average user would visit 4 to 5 pages in the SPC website per visit.

MICA Annual Report 2006

Background
The report focused on MICA's five-pronged efforts to achieve our mission of building a creative economy, gracious community and connected society with a Singaporean identity rooted in its multi-cultural heritage through:

• Nurturing the creative industries
• Empowering through infocomm and media
• Enhancing graciousness
• Strengthening national identity
• Promoting understanding of Singapore

Solution
Wiz Werx had to conceptualise the annual report, keeping in mind the major initiatives and developments carried out over the year in review. In 2007, MICA made progress as a global city for the arts with vibrant creative industries and a dynamic, trusted and connected ICT hub.

The design was simple yet dynamic, engaging and unique. Subtle and fluid visual transitions; seamlessly integrated with efficient content architecture, which also reflects the richness and vibrancy of Singapore.

Peranakan Museum

Background
This new museum aims to house the best collection of Peranakan artefacts in the world, and the first comprehensive display of Peranakan culture. It will be positioned as a boutique museum which will offer a complete visitor-experience, ranging from rich material culture displays where visitors interact and learn using the latest technology, to food sampling and merchandising. The new Peranakan Museum will be an exciting destination for local and foreign visitors alike.

Solution
The website is a key communications tool for the museum to connect with its public, which include visitors, educators, rental clients, media etc.

In addition to web design, Wiz Werx implemented a content management system (CMS) to allow the museum staff to update information for some pages which require frequent updating.

Asian Civilisation Museum

Background
The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) is the first museum in the region to present a broad yet integrated perspective of pan-Asian cultures and civilisations. As one of the National Museums of Singapore under the National Heritage Board, they seek to promote a better appreciation of the rich cultures that make up Singapore's multi-ethnic society.

Wiz Werx was engaged by the Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM) to perform a complete makeover of its website last year. ACM was looking to reach a much more ubiquitous target audience for their new vision, and Wiz Werx appropriately redesigned to meet this objective.

Strategy
This user-centric design philosophy is apparent right from the first page that one lands on the ACM website - the homepage, where everything is organised according to personal, academic and functional interest.

Solution
Following the initial success of the launch, it soon became apparent that ACM has to maintain a constant web presence in order to meet the steadily increasing number of visitors to the website and their proportionally growing needs. To this end, Wiz Werx cooperated extensively with ACM to manage its website content, launch promotional exhibition materials, and even fun educational Flash games for the curious history buff.

Integrated with Wiz Werx flexible Content Management System, Wiz Werx has ensured the ease of maintenance as well as a seamless interface to the client. The site hosts an interactive 'Learning' section to cater to students and teachers, which enables them to download resources and maintain integrated engagement both online and offline at the museum.

PSA International

Background
PSA International is Singapore's port operator of choice; aims to be leader in global ports and terminals business. PSA International approached Wiz Werx to develop a new content rich Website, which was creative, user-friendly and easy to maintain.

Solution
Wiz Werx took inspiration from the corporate brochure and its distinctive artwork to design the PSA International Website that both reflects the company's history and promotes their global presence.

The sections included @TheHelm, which is their quarterly magazine, a press release and investor relations section.

The use of Macromedia Flash allows all multimedia content to be integrated in a consistent format, ensuring maximum accessibility to the audience.

Keppel Nights

Background
In line with Keppel’s 40th Anniversary, it was a CSR effort to reach out to the heartlanders, in partnership with National Arts Council, to broaden information of the Arts and entertainment performances and the ticket subsidy scheme online, in addition to offering discounts over ticket prices to students and families.

Wiz Werx was engaged to design and develop a solution to cater to the administrators of NAC in updating content as well as reach out to heartlanders with user-friendly and easy to navigate website structure.

Solution
Some of the features of the Content Management System are the Keppel Nights Password and the Poll modules. The Password modules were developed to allow the administrators to manage and define new passwords in real-time, giving the element of anticipation, where new passwords are displayed every week.

The Poll Module gives us a chance to understand the users, their preferences and how susceptible the users are to the Art & Entertainment industry.

Visitors can ‘Share this Experience’ with their friends via Email, Really Simple Syndication (RSS), del.icio.us, Digg or Facebook, to increase the awareness of the Keppel Nights initiative and to keep subscribed users up-to-date with the latest information without the need to be on the website physically.

A mailing list and Tell-A-Friend features were essential in increasing database and disseminating information to the target audience.

CPG Corporation

Background
CPG Corporation, one of Singapore and Asia Pacific region's most respected infrastructure & building development and management services provider, commissioned Wiz Werx to translate their quality projects and new branding into an online experience. They also wanted a dynamic Web site that could be easily updated using a Content Management System. (CMS).

Strategy
Wiz Werx ensured that there was a consistent corporate identity for both brochure and website. The challenge was conceptualising a design theme that will suit both the online and printed media.

Wiz Werx acknowledged the importance of the user experience and chose a hybrid of Flash and HTML environment. In addition Wiz Werx ensured that the website would be created in such a way that retained all of the functionality and accessibility that could be used as a communication tool. The client would use the same functionality to publish their own newsletters.

Solution
With self-sustainability in mind, Wiz Werx developed a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) for CPG to self manage the content of the website.

Beyond the usual CMS functionalities, such as adding, editing and deleting content, Wiz Werx incorporated additional functions such as an automatic content publisher that publishes stored content based on the preset publish date and an online workflow to automate the content approval process.

Nestle Singapore - Kit Kat®

Background
Kit Kat® is a snack which all Singaporeans can relate with, but there was just no online presence. Nestle Singapore wanted to create a buzz with an introduction of a Kit Kat® website and a new product launch, Kit Kat® Cherry Blossom.

From the overwhelming response and success of the Kit Kat® Cherry Blossom campaign, Kit Kat® Singapore once again lead the brand's regional online initiatives through the deployment of the KIT KAT® Buddy Programme; the first Kit Kat® online loyalty programme in Southeast Asia. The programme kicked started with an image upload contest web 2.0 style on the new Kit Kat® Singapore website.

Strategy
The concept was conceptualised and executed by Wiz Werx to address the 5000 strong members. These members were gathered in less than 3 weeks from the last KIT KAT® Cherry Blossom online campaign. One of the objectives was to reward the members for their support. In comparison to the past Kit Kash Loyalty Programmes (Australia and United Kingdom) the KIT KAT® Buddy Programme is not tied to proof-of-purchase but to participation on the website (eg. Sending referrals, logging on to the website, and participating in online contest).

A Kit Kat marketing website was developed to engage the user on a more interactive level
