Background
Singapore Petroleum Company Limited (SPC) engaged the services of Wiz Werx Pte Ltd to re-establish its online presence.

The brief was to create a fresh look and personality for the existing SPC Website, and to gear it towards an Investor Relations focus.

The objectives were to provide a platform to communicate to their investors, partners, in addition to rebranding and communicating its core business as the only local refinery.

Strategy
Not only was it important to create a fresh, new design but also to ensure the site ranked brilliantly at the major search engines for targeted key phrases.

The site has been re-built from the ground up, utilising SEO friendly directory configuration, CMS and internal optimised linking strategies. All of this works in sync with the new design and site structure.

Solution
The challenge of the brief was to cater for dynamic information, by which Wiz Werx took on by incorporating exciting new features as such:

Google Maps technology was used for the Station Locator feature, by which the end-user is able to navigate via updated Maps or Satellite from Google to discover the exact location of the SPC service stations.

Stock Quotes as drawn from the SGX Index Website are placed and represented as Share Price Graphs by which the fluctuations in the SPC Stock are shown, indicating the start and end of trading for each day.

In addition, Google Analytics implementation was proposed by Wiz Werx for tracking the SPC website. Via Google Analytics, SPC is now able to track the overall web traffic and to gain a better understanding of user behaviour on the website, which would be a good measure against their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The revamped SPC website was launched in January, and the average monthly statistics since then has reflected at least 13,000 visits per month. The number of pages viewed/accessed is at least 50,000 and the average user would visit 4 to 5 pages in the SPC website per visit.
