Solution
The theme was conceptualised by DDB, and we had this opportunity to adapt it online. It was called “Shaping New Dimensions†and it revolved around the tangram. As there are many shapes that one can create using a tangram, it illustrated the limitless possibilities of shaping new innovations.
A tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes which are put together to form shapes. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape (given only in outline or silhouette) using all seven pieces, which may not overlap.
A contest element was incorporated to encourage participation; the mechanics was basically to try to replicate the shapes displayed using all seven pieces, via drag-drop-tilt functions. The activity proved to be engaging, simple in its design yet challenging.
Users could virally inform their colleagues about the exhibition through the site, and interactive features such as Virtual Tours were included to hype up the event.
