KitKat Treasure Hunt Contest

Kit Kat Buddy1 February 2008 - Following the overwhelming response of the KitKat Lucky Exam Break Campaign, Wiz Werx continued to help the brand attract more registered users by coming up with another well received promotion- the KitKat Treasure Hunt Contest.

Stretching from 1 September 2007 to 30 November 2007, the KitKat Treasure Hunt Contest was a big idea conceptualized from a small initiative. It all started from the 3 screensavers that Wiz Werx had produced for the brand’s website, to improve interactivity. Instead of simply putting in the 3 screensavers for users to download, Wiz Werx wanted to give our client a bigger bang for the buck, hence the idea of leveraging on a contest to create more hype and interest.

Users have to download all 3 screensavers, and try to spot the secret “Break Codes” hidden within. They then have to submit the answers through an online submission form. 10 lucky winners with the correct answer would walk away with a KitKat Break Hamper worth $100.

The print media was also employed to promote this contest. A tangible result of this contest was a significant number of registered users that the brand managed to secure. More importantly, this contest further enhanced users’ perception of the brand, because of the fun and unique screensavers that Wiz Werx had created.

Our favourite screensaver would be the “Sleepy Drooler”, especially the part where the drooler slurps up his own saliva! Wiz Werx definitely had a ball of a time creating the 3 screensavers.
